Understanding Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN)
Case Management Model and Notation or CMMN is to Case Management what BPMN is to Business Process Management. Means to an end, CMMN is a less complex notation and a much better fit when describing knowledge intensive business cases. Although fewer components in the notation, it is a highly effective and (most importantly) an easy to understand notation. While BPMN requires every path to be explicitly modeled, CMMN aims to implicitly have every possible case run-through in one model: focusing on the case, the stages and what can be done to achieve the goal of the case.
